Amy is an Educational Consultant for Visual Impairment at NCDPI and passionate about students with low vision and blindness receiving quality services and instruction. She initially earned a bachelor’s degree in Visual Impairment from Illinois State University, then a graduate degree in Visual Impairment with an emphasis on early childhood from Peabody College at Vanderbilt University. It’s been over 17 years since Amy first began her career. Aside from working with NCAER, in her professional spare time Amy publishes a monthly blog called The High-Heeled TVI. For fun, this Buick-driving TVI thoroughly enjoys watching “grey people movies” on Turner Classic Movies and listening to 70’s music on Sirius XM Radio. But don’t be fooled though, this “old soul” recently turned 40 and is the wife to an amazing husband and mother to two awesome boys.
