Sarah Milledge was born in Flint, Michigan in 1981. She received her B.A.A. in family Studies and minored in Substance abuse intervention, education, and prevention. Sarah lost her vision suddenly to Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 23. She developed skills through vocational rehab to continue living life and complete her M.A. in Vision Rehabilitation Therapy from Western Michigan University. Sarah currently works for Metrolina Association for the Blind as a CVRT. She teaches activities of daily living, assistive technology, and adaptive kitchen skills while promoting confidence and independence after vision loss. She currently serves on the NCCVIB planning committee. Sarah enjoys networking, swimming, traveling and spending time with her husband and yellow lab Ecko.
